To make training accessible to all, Smiths Detection is developing a portfolio of elearning courses focusing on individual products. The latest addition is specifically for the HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX scanner – including the recently launched Model S.

Designed for operators, the new course is based on the latest training design principles. The use of engaging 3D animation and interactivity combine to ensure a positive and productive experience. It is a four-hour course containing eight modules and with knowledge checks throughout.

The modules are packed full of practical information for operators, covering a range of useful topics from basic controls to the scanning process, advanced detection and troubleshooting:

• Safety
• Powering up and down
• The user interface
• Scanning procedures
• CT imaging
• Automated detection/iCMORE
• Basic troubleshooting

Flexible, accessible learning

Operators can follow the course online at any time and at their own pace. If preferred, our trainers can take people through the course at a Smiths Detection facility.

Currently, the HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX elearning for operators is available in English - with German, French and Arabic to follow very soon. On request, specific language versions can be arranged.
